Alice Goncher Rich Diskin was born in Atlanta. Her father, Sam, was a tailor. She discusses her childhood, family, World War II including her memories of Pearl Harbor, taking in Jewish children refugees during the war, her marriage to her first husband Sidney Rich, who died in the 1990s, her children, and her current marriage to Robert Diskin. She recalls the richness of her childhood, religious education, youth social activities and her involvement with Congregation Shearith Israel.
