Harriet Aranow Dolin married Martin Dolin and moved to Waynesboro, Georgia from Newport News, Virginia. She discusses her Jewish childhood and community in Newport News, including antisemitism. She recalls meeting her husband, Martin, and discusses their family and segregation and the civil rights movement in Waynesboro including the race riot that happened in Augusta, Georgia. She discusses her husband's political career as city council member and then mayor of Waynesboro. She was joined by Lisa Dolin who discussed growing up in the south, Jewish relations with Blacks, segregation and integration, and life in small town Georgia.
