Annette Zimmerman Tinter Easton was born in Atlanta. Her grandparents and father came from Kobryn, Poland. The Zimmerman family owned grocery stores, lumber yards, liquor stores and butcher shops and were founding members of Shearith Israel. Annette married Stanley Tinter and had four boys: Jay, Steven, Ricky and Daniel. Stanley died suddenly in 1962 of leukemia and Annette re-married Albert Easton in 1972. She worked extensively in the Jewish community as a volunteer, including helping to found a women's homeless shelter. Annette recalls her family, childhood, social activities (Jewish clubs, etc.), her education, working in the family grocery store, the neighborhoods and businesses of Atlanta, prominent Jewish Atlantans, and her volunteer activities including with Shearith Israel.
