ten Boom, Corrie, 1892-1983

This is Cornelia "Corrie" ten Boom. She was a Dutch Christian who helped rescue many Jews. She was arrested, together with her family, for hiding Jews in February 1944. Her father died in prison. Corrie and her sister, Betsie, were sent to Vught concentration camp in the Netherlands and then to Ravensbruck in Germany. Betsie died in Rabensbruck. Corrie was released on December 31, 1944. She wrote the Hiding Place in 1971.
