Torgau (Slave Labor Camps: Germany)
Slave Labor Camps: Germany; World War, 1939-1945; Holocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)

This was a camp that served a munitions factory. They manufactured grenades and bombs. It was a sub-camp of Buchenwald, but at the end of the war women from other camps, such as Bergen-Belsen, were also sent there. There were about 750 Jewish women there. It was evacuated in January, 1945 ahead of the Allies.
