Herman Heyman (1898 - 1968), Atlanta, Georgia lawyer and active participant in civil and religious affairs. The collection consists of papers of Herman Heyman and the Heyman family from 1886-1983. The bulk of the collection consists of correspondence between Herman Heyman and his wife, Josephine, in which they discuss, among other topics, the German-Jewish community in Atlanta, Georgia during the 1920s and 1930s. The collection also contains correspondence to and from various family members and friends, newspaper clippings, and Josephine Joel Heyman's diaries (1914-1917 and 1924) in which she discusses the Leo M. Frank case. Arranged in alphabetical order by subject and chronologically within each folder. Finding aid available online:
