Hadassah Southeastern Region was organized in 1926, and is the umbrella organization for all Hadassah chapters in the southeast. The Atlanta Chapter is the oldest, having been organized in 1917, only five years after Henrietta Szold met with eleven other American Jewish women to establish Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America. The collection consists of minutes, correspondence, committee reports and newsletters. There are also records from Junior Hadassah, the Business and Professional Divison of Hadassah, the Tel Chai, the southeastern region and the national office. The collection is organized in two series. Series I consists of the records of the Atlanta Chapter of Hadassah. Series II consists of the records of regional, and national offices and of miscellaneous records. All material is arranged in alphabetical order by subject and in chronological order within each folder. Finding aid is available online: http://thebreman.org/Research/Cuba-Family-Archives/Finding-Aids/ID/349/Mss-022-Hadassah-Southeastern-Region-Records.
