David Mayer was a founding member of the Temple. He also helped to found the Atlanta public school system. The collection consists of photocopies of a journal, correspondence, last will and testaments and biographies of David and Elisa Weilman Mayer, David Steinheimer and other family members and a genealogy/history/directory of the Mayer family. It also contains a program from the 1930 Boy's High School graduation listing Henry Bauer Jr. and his mother. Arranged in chronological order.
