Philip Shulhafer was the personnel director at Montag Brothers, Inc. and was active in Jewish community organizations. In the 1950s, he began to integrate Montag Brothers, which became one the first businesses in the South to have white employees working side-by-side with black employees. His wife, Hannah, worked to abolish child labor and to set fair labor standards for all workers. The collection consists of a newsletter from Montag Brothers, Inc., a progam from Sigma Theta Pi Sorority, and material relating to the community service activities of Philip and Hannah Shulhafer and Rebecca Mathis Gershon. Arranged in chronological order.
