Rebecca Mathis Gershon was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1898. She married Harry Gershon in 1921 and moved to Atlanta. She was active in both Jewish and general community organizations including the Commission on Interracial Cooperation, the Southern Women for the Prevention of Lynching, the National Council of Jewish Women and Hadassah. The collection consists of photocopies of correspondence and newspaper clippings. Arranged in chronological order.
