Holocaust survivors from Poland, the Gastfreunds (later Gastfriends) immigrated to the United States in 1950. The collection consists of two vaccination certificates; two certificates from the International Refugee Organization; one letter from the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee; temporary passports for Abraham (Abram) and Malka Gastfreund (Gastfriend); onecertificate of employment from the Landsberg Jewish Center, and the airline ticket, envelope and boarding cards of the Gastfreund's flight from Germany to New York. Arranged in chronological order.
