Balser Meyer OHC.JPG

Meyer Balser's parents were born in Russia, but emigrated to the United States in the 1890s. His father owned a grocery store in Atlanta. Meyer earned money as a newsboy in his youth. He describes life in Atlanta in the early 1900s, including the Depression of 1929. Eventually, Meyer became a traveling salesman and then an insurance salesman. He describes meeting his wife, Roslyn and their courtship and his role in Jewish community activities.
