Jew's House (left) and Jew's Court, built in the late 12th century, in Lincoln, Lincolnshire. The home of many members of the Lincoln Jewish community during the medieval period, until Jews were expelled in 1290 during a period of antisemitic hysteria precipitated by the murder of Little Hugh, an eight-year-old boy. There is no evidence that a Jewish person was involved in the child's murder.
