Marilyn Romm Ehrlich was born in Atlanta. In 1939 she married Daniel Ehrlich and had two children. Her maternal grandfather was H. Mendel, a prominent busisnessman in dry-goods in the Atlanta community and her father, Sol Romm, was one of the founders of the Jewish Progressive Club. Her sister was the first female president of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta. Mrs. Ehrlich recounts her childhood in Atlanta, her schooling, and the attitudes toward Jews as well as Jewish-Jewish relations. She was prominent in the leadership of the League of Women Voters and was a member of the Temple.
