Arthur Strauss is a Holocaust survivor who emigrated to the United States in the late 1930s. He later served as a soldier in the United States Army returning to Germany. The collection consists of letters to recent immigrant to the United States Liesl Vorscheimer Strauss from her parents who were later deported from Nazi Germany to a concentration camp, a reissepasse, and a postcard from the ship Mousinho on which Arthur Strauss sailed when he immgrated. Arranged in chronological order.
