Caplan Alice Weinberger OHC.JPG

Alice Weinberger Caplan was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She moved to Atlanta in 1947 after her marriage to Henry Caplan, who was posted here by the Navy during World War II. She became involved with Zionist and other community services activities including a long relationship with Hadassah, the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta in its various incarnations over the decades, Jewish Children's Services, the National Council of Jewish Women, and the Temple. Both her son and her husband died in 1971. She also had her own travel agency.
