Oglethorpe University
Universities and Colleges

Oglethorpe University is a private liberal arts college in Brookhaven, Georgia. Originally chartered in 1835, it was named in honor of General James Edward Oglethorpe, founder of the Colony of Georgia. It was originally founded in Midway, Georgia, and affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, but it is now located near Atlanta and is nonsectarian.
