John Maidanek is a Holocaust survivor who immigrated to the United States from Harberg in Nazi Germany at the age of 11. His brother and parents were deported to the Lodz Ghetto and perished. The collection primarily consists of letters written by the brothers and parents of John Maidanek from 1935-1941. Arranged in alphabetical order by subject and chronologically within each folder.
