Ships; Ocean Liners

A famous incident in World War II. A shipload of Jewish refugees with transit visas for Cuba were turned away by Cuba when they arrived. They sailed up and down the East Coast of the United States, asking for admittance. They were refused. The Jewish refugees were returned to Europe where about half perished in the Holocaust.
