Louis Morris was born in Russia as Leib Yampolsky. The name was changed to Morris at Ellis Island. Louis married Jeanette Hartstein. He was the owner of Louis Morris' Grocery Store on Haygood Avenue in Atlanta. The collection, 1915-1980, consists of the ledger book from Louis Morris' grocery store, the Naturalization certificate of Louis Morris, 1938, the obituary of Leon Steinberg, 1978, and a newspaper article relating to the American Jewish Committee's Oral History Project.
