Louis Saul was born in Jonova, Lithuania in 1868. He immigrated to the United States in 1888 or 1889 in order to escape the Russian draft. He settled in the Oklahoma Territory and then moved to South Georgia. He married Sarah (Sadie) Pearl in about 1907. For a short time he lived in Atlanta, Georgia, moving out of the South permanently in about 1915. The collection consists of a family history written by Wendy Saul the granddaughter of Louis Saul.
